Joining Sandstone and the Zambezi Explorer 2021
Combining two great experiences

The Sandstone steam charter tour will run between 25 June and 01 July 2021. It is possible to extend your African holiday by combining this
with the Zambezi Explorer tour that starts a few days later. This gap allows Geoff Cooke, your tour manager, to travel from Sandstone to
Victoria Falls, and you are invited to join him on this great African adventure.

The Zambezi Explorer tour is made up of three segments, making it easy for you to visit the Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park areas
and then fly home from Victoria Falls, or to enjoy the full Zambezi Explorer experience.

The Sandstone tour will end at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport on the afternoon of 01 July, the Zambezi post tour option will
be as follows:

Thursday, 01 July 2021
On arrival at OR Tambo Airport, check into an airport hotel for one night, bed and breakfast.

Friday, 02 July 2021

The big cats hunt at night, and we will start our Zambezi adventure with a night drive to look for them.

Wednesday, 07 July 2021
Following a morning game drive and breakfast at Imbabala, drive to Victoria Falls. Check in to the Bayete Lodge before visiting the Victoria
Falls with an informative guide. Mid-afternoon is the ideal time to visit the Falls as rainbows appear in the spray, the making of magical
photographs. End your day at the famous Victoria Falls Hotel, built by the Railway for contractors working on the bridge construction and
expanded to become one of the world's great railway hotels. Enjoy high tea or a drink on the veranda overlooking the Bridge before taking a
tour of the hotel (much more interesting than it sounds!)
Overnight:  Bayete Lodge. (Bayete is the Matabele Nation's royal salute, you should certainly feel like royalty after this action packed day).

Thursday, 08 July 2021
Today is a railway day, with a few extras! After time in Victoria Falls town and markets for sightseeing and maybe some retail therapy, board
a tram at the railway station for a journey to remember! Sip gin and tonic as you rattle down the track to the Victoria falls Bridge, stare in awe
as the Victoria Falls reveals itself whilst you slowly roll across the bridge into Zambia. Lunch and a presentation on the building of the bridge
is included before making our way back to the station. Visit your lodge to freshen up before boarding a steam train for sundowners on the
bridge and a silver service meal in an elegant dining car as you chug through the African night.
Overnight: Bayete Lodge.
