The FOBRM committee organises social events
and occasional special trains in Bulawayo. It
raises funds for the development and
preservation of exhibits within the Museum and
assists the NRZ Historical Committee when
requested to do so.

The biggest event to date occurred in September
2005, when a special train was run from
Bulawayo to Victoria Falls to celebrate the
Centenary of the Victoria Falls Bridge.
