| This exhibit was damaged by fire on Friday, 16 March 2007 The rear goods section was apparently being used by a vagrant who lit a fire. One of the items recovered was a mattress! The resident caretaker tackled the flames, sustaining minor injuries. He called the fire brigade, who responded well. A small amount of smoke and water damage was sustained in the adjacent main hall. |
