Number 500 was a non-working exhibit in the Museum
from June 1975. She was swapped with #507 which
was a working locomotive and sent to the Kadoma
Steam center in May 1985.

The April 1st Garratt meet

Early in the morning of April 1st, 1972, Class 14 #505 and # 507 collided on a set of
points in Bulawayo's Mpopoma marshalling yard. Both locomotives survived the
April Fool's episode.
