Windhoek to Swakopmund
Check in at Windhoek station is on Fridays at
11h30 from April to September and at 12h30 on
other months.
The train departs 30 minutes after check in. You
will be welcomed with a drink and sandwiches
in the Spitzkoppe lounge.
This afternoon, join a game drive at Oropoko
Lodge.
Dinner will be served in the Welsitchia
Restaurant (dining car).
During the night, the train will halt at a secure
siding and wait for sunrise.
Following an on-board breakfast, enjoy a dune
excursion to view at close hand the Namib
Desert.
Arrive at Swakopmund on Saturday morning at
10h00.

Swakopmund to Windhoek
Check in at Swakopmund station is on Saturdays at
14h30.
The train departs 30 minutes after check in. You will
be welcomed with a drink and sandwiches in the
Spitzkoppe lounge.
Enjoy a late afternoon sundowner before dinner,
served in the Welsitchia Restaurant (dining car).
During the night, the train will halt at a secure siding
and wait for sunrise.
Following an on-board breakfast, enjoy a game drive
at Oropoko Lodge.
Arrive at Windhoek on Sunday morning at 10h30.

Seven Day Swakopmund and Etosha Holiday
A holiday designed to experience the train, the beautiful scenery, the outdoor activities at
Swakopmund and the abundant game viewing in the Etosha Park.
Day 1. Thursday.
Depart Windhoek at 14:30. Dinner & overnight on the train as you travel half way to Swakopmund. The train
will overnight at Kranzberg.
Day 2. Friday.
Arrive at Walvis Bay shortly after breakfast. Transfer to the Yacht Club for a dolphin and seal cruise. Cross the
bay to where the dolphins play before continuing to Pelican Point, home to a colony of Cape Fur Seals.
Lunch will be on board tne Catamaran. After lunch, it's back to the Yacht Club for a coach tour to visit the salt
pans, the lagoon where you might see flamingos and Dune 7. The tour will end at the train, standing in
Swakopmund. Dinner and overnight on the train.
Day 3. Saturday.
Enjoy a sightseeing tour around Swakopmund and out to the moon-like landscapes of the Namib desert and
the Welwichia valley. After a picnic lunch the train will depart for Otjiwarongo for overnight.
Day 4. Sunday.
This morning, travel by coach to Etosha's southern gate at Okaukuejo. Check in and relax over lunch before
and afternoon game drive. Spend this evening at a spectacular waterhole.
Day 5. Monday.
After breakfast, take a leisurely game drive to Halali. Check in and enjoy a rest and lunch before an afternoon
game drive. After dinner, you can again spend the evening at the waterhole.
Day 6. Tuesday.
This morning your game drive will take you to Namutoni Gate where you will leave Etosha and transfer to the
train for a departure to Windhoek. Dinner and overnight on the train at Otjwarongo.
Day 7. Wednesday.
Depart for Windhoek with breakfast and lunch on the train. Visit a craft market at Okahandja and arrive in
Windhoek at 14h00.
