Dear Geoff
Just a line to let you know we had a wonderful holiday on the Southern Cross. What a train! It really was a great adventure and experience.
The train manager was Emmanuel Ndlovu who I think you know.
There was a great mix of people on board and we have made some good friends. The staff were a great bunch and the service was excellent. Food excellent too!
We would like to thank you for steering us towards the Southern Cross, as a more exciting journey than the Good Hope. We are really pleased we took your advice.
You may like to know that the picture of the steam engine on it's way to the breakers yard, with a dedication to you and others is still hanging in the entrance to the dining car.
Best regards.
Jen & Phil
